Getting Started
How do we get started?
The easiest way to get started is to book directly through our online scheduling page or call us at (619) 825-2855. After scheduling you'll receive intake forms and everything you need to prepare for your first session.
What happens in the first session?
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know you, your history, what's been hard, and what you're hoping for. We create a space where both partners feel heard without judgment or pressure. By the end of the first session most couples feel a sense of relief just from being in a structured, neutral environment together.
What if my partner is reluctant to come to therapy?
This is very common. We have extensive experience working with couples where one partner is hesitant. We create a neutral environment where both partners feel heard not ganged up on. Often the most reluctant partner becomes the most engaged once they feel safe in the process.
How do we know if couples therapy is right for us?
Couples therapy can be helpful whether you're experiencing significant conflict or simply want to improve communication and connection. If you're unsure whether it's the right fit, call us, we're happy to talk it through before you commit to anything.
Fees and Insurance
Do you accept insurance?
We do not bill insurance directly. However many PPO insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits that may reimburse a portion of the session fee. Clients are responsible for payment at the time of service and may submit claims to their insurance provider independently. We're happy to provide a superbill to support your reimbursement claim.
